Aidan Turner, born 19th June 1983 in Ireland, is an actor, most notable for playing the vampire Mitchell in BBC Three's television series Being Human which he portrayed for three series' (22 episodes in total), until departing.
Turner graduated from The Gaiety School of Acting diploma course in 2004.[1] He briefly appeared in the first episode of BBC's series The Tudors and was also in ten episodes of Irish hospital drama The Clinic in 2008. He also starred in the BBC Two drama series Desperate Romantics.with fellow being human actress Amy Manson they played husband and wife
He also plays Kíli in the three-part fantasy film The Hobbit. In addition, he portrayed Luke Garroway in the film adaptation of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and Ross Poldark in BBC's current series of Poldark.
