―To Annie

Alex Millar (Kate Bracken) was a young, Scottish woman who came to Barry Island for a holiday with her family. However, she is later killed and becomes a Ghost. She also takes residence with Tom and Hal at Honolulu Heights as a new supernatural trinity.

Biography

Series 4

She encounters Hal in the cafe and flirts with him. Although nervous at first, Hal agrees to go out with her, but abandons her out of fear of killing her. He later calls Alex hoping to patch things up and try again.

Alex and Hal later go out for drinks but Hal (who recently drank blood for the first time in 55 years) was behaving strangly so she eventually had enough and left.

She was later kidnapped and killed by Cutler who drained her blood and tricked Hal into drinking her blood, the same way Hal killed Cutler's wife over 50 years before, however Hal refused to cooperate with Cutler's plan to trick the werewolf Tom McNair into slaughtering a club full of people in order to turn the world against werewolves so Cutler locked him in the storage room with Alex's body. Alex then reveals herself as a ghost to Hal.

After some arguing, Hal eventually convinces Alex to help him escape the storage room and they managed to evacuate the club before a transformed Tom could kill any of them, therefore hindering Cutler's plan.

At the end of series 4, we see Alex and Tom trying to get Hal to stop drinking blood. This implies that now Annie has passed over, that Alex will take her place as the ghost of the trio, which has indeed now been confirmed by Toby Whithouse on the BBC Being Human blog.
