Anna "Annie" Clare Sawyer [1] is a very insecure ghost who haunts the House she and her fiancée lived in while she was alive, and is unwilling to leave it. Annie appears in the clothes she was wearing when she died which change subtly depending on her state of mind.[2] It was revealed that Annie was killed by her fiancée, Owen, after he found a thong in her possession. She wanted to take revenge on him, and started by warning his new girlfriend, Janey, that he murdered her. She freaks out until Owen comes home, and he explains to her that its in her mind, while staring at the ghost Annie on the stairs. When Owen goes round to the house, taunting Annie, they confront him. The three reveal there supernatural abilities and he is at first terrified. Annie then whispers something into his ear which seems to scare him horrifically. He then goes to the police station. After this, Annie was confronted by the door which meant she had reached her revolution. As she was going into it there was a knock at the door which was answered by Mitchell. It was Herrick who had staked Mitchell in the heart and Annie refused to go through the door while her friend was in that state. Mitchell luckily recovers, but for Annie the door has disappeared. She finds her new abilities of Telekinesis. She helps her friends defeat the evil Herrick and settles into her new life after denying death.

Soon after, Annie decided to go for a Job interview at a pub and got the job from her new boss, and admirer Hugh. She settled into her new job well and met her other admirer Saul. She also helped her new house mate and friend, Nina, in her first Werewolf transformation which eventually reduced Annie to tears. Still working in her new job, she and Saul were getting along well and after talking about Saul's experience, they found they had both seen the 'white tunnel, with men holding rope'. Annie and Saul agreed to go on a date which went successfully until Saul came onto Annie. He tried to take advantage of her but she quickly disappeared leaving him confused. She locked herself in the house, not answering the door or phone calls. Hugh visited the house, and he and Annie shared a kiss which he rejected saying he didn't want to be the consolation prize. Annie agreed. Annie visited Saul in hospital after an accident he had. She watched him die, failing to get help and he reverted into a ghost. Annie told him to go through the door but the Radio told him to throw Annie through the door. Annie put up a fight and eventually escaped Saul who went through it. She went to her job a while later, but found that once again - only supernaturals could see her.
