Charlotte was a human. She volunteers to be turned into a werewolf by Josh. Josh doesn't want this, so Mark forces Josh to infect Charlotte. After Charlotte is infected, Mark goes together with Astrid to Josh's house. He wants to ask Josh if he can teach Charlotte, being a werewolf. However Mark also knows that Josh wouldn't speak to him, so he tells Astrid to threaten Nora with a gun. Meanwhile Josh is locked into a room by Ramona. He hears Nora scream, since he can't get out he panicks and turns into a werewolf. After being turned, Ramona lets him leave. However Josh kills all werewolves including Charlotte.
Due to Josh being a spellbound werewolf, the only one of his kind, it is unknown if Charlotte and the others he was forced to turn are mutts, or a different breed of werewolves.
