The custody sergeant works at the reception of the police station in Barry Island. When Mitchell get's arrested for commiting the Box Tunnel 20 Massacre, the custody sergant asks for Mitchell's birthdate, name etc. Mitchell says it's to early for the humans to find out about vampires and that it shouldn't happen like this. He also tells his collegue Andy to take a picture of Mitchell, but as a vampire Mitchell doesn't appear on the picture.
The custody sergeant and his colleagues are killed by Herrick when Herrick get's Mitchell out of the prison.
