Douglas was an elderly werewolf and a veteran of the werewolf fights. He is held captive in the basement of Sapp & Sons Funeral Parlour. It is unknown when Douglas was turned into a Werewolf, but he was held as a captive "Dog Fighter" for at least 15 years by the Boston Vampire Clan led by Bishop. Douglas has been a somewhat "willing" participant in the Boston coven's werewolf prize fights for the better part of his captivity. He feels that as long as his curse is contained and kept away from any potential innocent victims then it's all for the greater good. For this reason, Bishop, Marcus and the other Vampires don't even feel the need to lock him up anymore. Douglas has been an excellent fighter over the years, and as a reward, the Vampires allow him to study the remains of his victims from the fighting cage. He studies other werewolves for details in their transformations, reactions and biological traits, possibly looking at ways to control the change.
Douglas was killed in his final cage fight against Josh, staged by Bishop to please The Dutch.
Josh is overcome with guilt at having to kill Douglas, but retains possession of his notebook and research on werewolves. A great deal of Josh's practical knowledge about the condition came from his notes.
