Griffin was a member of The Old Ones and leader of the Barry vampire clan in Series 4 following Wyndham's death. He was in charge of arranging the welcoming party for the rest of the Old Ones.
He had a particular disliking for George for his actions in staking both Mitchell and Wyndham; this led to him ordering Nina's murder and Eve's kidnapping, intending to offer the baby to the Old Ones.
When the Vampire Recorder, Regus, revealed Eve to be the War Child of ancient vampire prophecy, Griffin wanted her killed immediately but she was ultimately saved by Regus stalling their planned "ritual" execution allowing George to rescue her.
He was killed by George who forced a partial transformation and proceeded to force-feed Griffin his werewolf blood, which is fatally toxic to vampires.
