"The War Child"
Tensions run high when Cutler takes Tom under his wing. Annie meets grown up Eve, who has travelled back through purgatory, and shows her the future, where most of the human race is dead, after the world was gradually taken over by vampires.
Hal goes to Cutler again and demands to know about the Old Ones and their plans. Cutler insists that Hal drinks blood with him. Hal hesitates but eventually breaks down to win Cutler's trust. Thus, it is a blood inebriated Hal who arrives for his date with Alex. Hal acts creepy, because of having had the blood, and when he tries to seduce her, Alex rejects him. As she leaves, one of Cutler's vampire thugs is seen trailing her.
Cutler tells Tom that the Old Ones will arrive on the day of the full moon and he will arrange for Tom to ambush and kill them all. They will be gathered at a nightclub with the doors locked, and Tom will be released into it when he has transformed. It is not until Tom is beginning the transformation that he can smell that the club is full of humans and knows that it has all gone wrong.
