Paul is a police man. He is one of the police men, that are killed by Herrick, after Herrick got his memory back. At the hospital he is looking at his own dead body, when Annie sees him. She speaks to him and promises him to help him on his journey. Then suddenly his dead body starts to move and it sings, that Annie should come to Purgatory to save Mitchell (later it is revealed that Lia sent this message, as she wanted Annie to be there). Then Pauls door appears. Annie and Paul go through it to Purgatory.
