Reverend Herring was the reverend in Aidan's village. Aidan calls him a jealous ass, because Herring had his eye on Suzanna the moment he came to town. He told her that was why Herring said the cause of their child's death would be their sins. Herring also tries to drown Suzanna in the river, because she still was with Aidan after Aidan became a vampire. However Suzanna is saved by Bishop who turns her into a vampire. Aidan kills Herring because of that.
