Alex and Tom are best friends, they support and help each other. Tom does listen to Alex and it is important for him, to hear what she says. Forexample he directly listens to her, when she tells him that they are tricked by the devil. He belives her imidiatly, that Hal hasn't killed Natasha Miles. Before that Hal has said countless times that he hasn't killed Natasha, but Tom did not belive him. Now Tom, Hal and Alex are together in a dreamworld of the devil.
